No God, No Master Garners 15 Awards Nominations at Madrid & St. Tropez
No God, No Master has received a record nine nominations at the 2013 Madrid International Film Festival, which will take place in Spain’s capital city July 1st through July 6th. “News of the nominations came as a complete surprise,” stated the film’s director and screenwriter Terry Green. “And to receive so many at a single festival is very rare.” The nominations include Best Film, Best Director (Terry Green), Best Actor (David Strathairn), Best Supporting Actor (Edoardo Ballerini), Best Supporting Actress (Andrea Grano), Best Original Screenplay (Terry Green), Best Cinematography (Paul Sanchez), Best Soundtrack (Nuno Malo) and Best Costumes (Shon LeBlanc).
The emerging Madrid International Film Festival recognizes exceptional achievement in film, from the smallest independent filmmakers to the most popular English and foreign language films in all genres. In addition, NGNM has been honored with six nominations at the St. Tropez International Film Festival, Madrid’s newly established sister venue, to be held in Nice in the Côte d’Azur May 16th through May 18th. Among the St. Tropez nominees are Ray Wise, Edoardo Ballerini, Andrea Grano, Paul Sanchez and Nuno Malo. Both film festivals offer the glamor that often accompanies many overseas festival events, culminating in red carpet awards ceremonies at two of Europe’s premiere destinations. Director Terry Green and The Camera Producer Wade Danielson will likely attend the St. Tropez screening, as one of their stops during an upcoming locations scout in France for Strata’s next feature.
