Heavens Fall was filmed in Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. The courthouse seen in the movie is in Monroeville, Alabama—the childhood home of To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee. A replica of this courthouse was built on a sound stage for the Hollywood film adaptation of the book starring Gregory Peck. Fortunately for production, the building had been recently restored and we were given full access to shoot all our film’s courtroom scenes here over a two-week period. The steam engine freight train in Heavens Fall is owned and operated by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga.
